Accessibility statement
The Neuroparenting Hub should be usable by the people it is here to support. That includes visitors who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification or other assistive technology, as well as people who find dense, distracting or visually cluttered websites harder to use.
What I am working towards
I use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines as a reference point and aim for an accessible, readable experience across the site. Accessibility is part of the build and review process rather than something added at the end.
- clear heading structure and descriptive link text
- readable type sizes, spacing and colour contrast
- keyboard-accessible navigation, links and forms
- useful alternative text for meaningful images
- responsive layouts that remain usable on smaller screens and at higher zoom levels
- no autoplaying media and no important information communicated by colour alone
If something is difficult to use
This site is actively maintained and I may not catch every accessibility problem immediately. If something prevents you from reading, understanding or using the site, please email info@neuroparentinghub.co.za. Tell me which page or feature is causing the problem and, if useful, what technology or device you are using. I will do what I reasonably can to provide the information another way and correct the issue.
External websites
The Hub links to independent websites, including the Neuroparenting Newsroom, Breaking All Barriers and external resource providers. I cannot control the accessibility of those sites, but I welcome feedback if an external link creates an access problem.
