Privacy policy
The Neuroparenting Hub takes the privacy of children and families seriously. This policy explains what information may be collected through this website, why it is collected and how it is handled.
Information you choose to give me
If you contact me through the website, I may receive information such as your name, email address, your child’s age or school year if you choose to provide it, the service you are interested in and the information you include in your message.
Because the Neuroparenting Hub works with families, your message may include information about a child’s learning, education or neurodivergence. Please provide only the information needed for the initial enquiry.
Please do not send reports through the first contact form
You do not need to upload psychological reports, medical records, school documents or other sensitive information when you first contact me. Tell me what information exists. If documents would be useful later, I will explain what I need and how they should be shared.
Why I use your information
Information submitted through the website may be used to respond to your enquiry, arrange an initial consultation, understand what type of support you are asking about, prepare a proposal where appropriate, communicate with you about work you have asked me to undertake and keep necessary administrative records.
I do not sell personal information.
Children’s information
Information about children is treated with particular care. Parents and guardians should avoid providing unnecessary identifying or sensitive information through the public website form.
Where more detailed information is required as part of paid work, it should be collected and handled through the agreed working process rather than through the initial enquiry form.
Who may have access
Personal information may be processed through the services used to operate this website and communicate with you. The site runs on WordPress and uses WPForms for website enquiries, Google Site Kit and Google Analytics for website measurement, Complianz for cookie consent and Akismet for spam protection. Website hosting and email services may also process limited technical or contact information as part of providing those services.
Information will not be shared with a school, practitioner or another third party simply because they are involved with the learner. Where collaboration forms part of the work, the parent or appropriate responsible person should know and agree to what is being shared.
How long information is kept
I keep enquiry correspondence and related administrative records only for as long as they are reasonably needed for the enquiry, any work that follows, legitimate record-keeping requirements or a legal obligation. Information that is no longer needed should be deleted or securely disposed of.
Cookies and website analytics
The website uses necessary cookies and may use analytics cookies through Google Analytics. Complianz is used to manage cookie consent so visitors can make choices about non-essential cookies where required. You can also control or delete cookies through your browser settings, although disabling necessary cookies may affect how parts of the site work.
Your rights
You may ask what personal information I hold about you, request that inaccurate information be corrected or ask about deletion of information that no longer needs to be retained, subject to any legal or legitimate record-keeping requirements.
The Neuroparenting Hub operates in South Africa and personal information should be handled in accordance with applicable data-protection requirements, including the Protection of Personal Information Act where applicable.
